Corten Straw

Overview

Corten Straw is a house that reflects the lifestyle of its owners: a young family who loves a Japanese- inspired simplicity, the sleekness of shapes and an attention in the choice of completely natural materials.

Approach

The cladding of the building is made of burnt larch boards combined with corten steel. The house is well divided between the living and the sleeping area. The living area is a large open space that holds both the kitchen and the living room.

Result

The house has been flexibly designed with a view to a possible enlargement of the family. All spaces in the future can be remodulated and divided without expensive interventions.
