The previous first floor apartment has become the living area, while the second floor apartment has been transformed into the sleeping area. The living area is a single room divided into living room, dining room and kitchen thanks to structural partition walls. The bathrooms use wallpaper on the ground floor and white ceramic diamond tiles.

Casa Patio is the transition from night to day, dark spaces that tinge themselves with white, darkness that becomes light. An imposing skylight around which all the rooms revolve, with unique details and design details. The starting point is two separate flats placed one above the other, both with a very dark central area.

Custom-made wooden doors solve the problem of different springers’ ratios while becoming at the same time proper furnishing objects. A careful study of lighting with custom-made designer lamps has emphasised the heights even more, making it up for the small size of the windows.

Casa Losanghe is the story of a family that gains new spaces. The creation of a new world, warm and spacious, where one can walk barefoot on wooden floors, relax on a sofa in front of the fireplace and cook while envisaging the motifs of an ancient frescoed ceiling. Pure warmth.

Approach

The whole research of the materials was focused on creating welcoming spaces suggestive of warmth and togetherness, starting from the warm-coloured mortar wall cladding.

Result

The family has benefitted from the significant increase in surface area, almost three times than before, and can now enjoy sharing the living area.
